GSCRS’s Mission Statement and Objectives
The German Society for Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (GSCRS) was established in 1986 by a group of German-speaking, European cataract and refractive surgeons.
The founding members were:

GSCRS is a non-profit society promoting scientific and practical activities in the area of intra-ocular lens implantation and cataract and refractive surgery by exchanging scientific knowledge and hands-on experiences, and by sponsoring scientific papers. Continued …
GSCRS also seeks to strengthen international contacts through double membership in the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS). In 1996, along with the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery (ASCRS), the ESCRS began publishing the Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery- the most widely circulated ophthalmologic surgical journal.
