Management of dislocated IOL
Kim WS
Pusan (Südkorea)
Decenteration and dislocation of a posterior chamber IOL can occur
after complicated cataract surgery. The causes are loss of capsular or
zonular integrity during surgery or asymmetric placement of haptics.
There are few reports of this complication in the literature,
partly because sufficient time is necessary for its clinical manifestation.
The purpose of this presentation is to review the literature
regarding the risk factors for bag dislocation, discuss methods to
prevent it, and present treatment technique.
