There is a common denominator that applies to all the glaucomas; and that is early surgical intervention will result in a very high success rate. Microstructural changes in the various tissues in the eye are noted when very high magnification, real time photography is used to make a diagnosis in glaucoma management. By early detection of changes in the Canal of Schlemm, the trabecular meshwork, the optic nerve and nerve fibre layer together with the vasa nervorum and the results following timeous intervention will be discussed. The time may have indeed arrived when we can confidently say that Glaucoma can be cured.
